Who We Are //
Avalex Technologies was founded in 1992 by our president, Jurgen (Tad) Ihns. Fueled by his dual passions, flying and engineering, Tad embarked on a personal mission to design innovative avionics solutions that would address the problems that he knew, being a pilot himself, mattered within the avionics industry. That personal mission is now the shared mission of a large team of like-minded experts. From our innovative engineers, representing all engineering disciplines, to our support staff whose diverse roles enable the functioning of this full-service, design-to-build company, we comprise the Avalex that is known today as a leading innovator in the design and manufacture of rugged avionics and electronics for defense, law enforcement, search and rescue and commercial operators, both here in the United States and globally.
